Jaguars' Maason Smith sparks joy at 'DiaBesties Camp' coaching kids with Type 1 diabetes
Jaguars defensive lineman Maason Smith led football drills during a summer camp for kids living with Type 1 diabetes. Smith also judged a touchdown celebration dance competition, and talked to the campers about why healthy choices and physical activity are so important to his career as a professional athlete. Nemours and Wolfson are hosting a special summer program called the "DiaBesties Camp" for children 8 years old to 15 years old. The camp provides a community for kids who are living with T1D. Smith along with teammate Brian Thomas Jr. are the first-ever NFL brand ambassadors for Nemours Children's Health.
