Police ID armed robbery suspect shot and killed after shooting officer

Police said Jamari Rashaud Akins, 20, stole about $100 from a Family Dollar before running off and being spotted by Officer Luis Mercado, who chased him and took him to the ground. Police said Akins fired two shots at Mercado, hitting him once in the leg. Mercado returned fire, fatally shooting Akins.
