Twenty seniors walked across the field for Senior Night at Mandarin, never knowing a point during high school when the Mustangs weren’t district champions. They walked off the field Friday night never having come up empty when it comes to district titles.

The Raines Vikings have started the 2025 football season with a statement on both sides of the ball. Scoring over 125 points in just two games is dominant, but that doesn’t go without looking at the defense. Just 14 points given up in two games for the Vikings defense, but they say they would rather that number be 0.

For the first time ever, Fernandina Beach, West Nassau and Yulee are unbeaten at this point of the regular season. The Pirates and Warriors, who play in the Sunshine State Athletic Association, are both 4-0. Yulee is 3-0. And even though they’re not unbeaten, Hilliard has jumped out to a 2-1 start, making it a great time to play football in Nassau County.
